im jusy trying to see if im not crazy.
ive used several android devices (galaxy, xiaomi) with several oses (stock and custom). im a developer so i keep things up to date, and i understand how the setting work mostly, i think ...
and somehow i have an issue, across the board, with practically every app i use - gmail, slack, skype. each one seems to drop notifications. i have to open the app in order for them to come through.
and for some strange reason, this seems to have been an issue with android for years. ive heard many people talk about it and it isnt being fixed. as a dev my feeling is that something fundamental is broken.
this is such an important part of mobile phones. you want to know that if someone messages you you will be notified. but ive come to understand that with an android device you have to open each app up manually to be sure.
what do you guys think ? does anyone have the same experience with me ? and if so, why is this not being fixed ?
