Just got one a few days ago. Works great on Cricket in Houston. Not finding many forums that talk about it though...
Can't get it to work with Android Auto (AA) like the cheap ZTE did. Sees that it is plugged in with USB, but doesn't add itself to 'connected cars' in AA. Is the problem USB C vs the ZTE using micro USB? Or is it a setting in the Elephone software?
I have USB debugging on and set as MTP.
