anyone experienced with redphone call encryption service

(a) I moved your thread to the Android Applications subforum since the question isn't device specific. :thumbsupdroid:

(b) I played with RedPhone a couple of years back. It requires both parties to have the RedPhone app installed (and validated with their phone number). It works by connecting the call as a VOIP (data) call, and the data transfer is, in fact, encrypted. Since it requires the app to work, it naturally won't work against a landline.

I can't vouch for the security of their product, but it does seem to do what it says.

Is it secure enough? That depends on the sensitivity of your phone calls.

Oh ok thank you. Wasn't sure if it was ok to use cause you never know how they encrypt the calls. Its open source I may play around with the code.

Reason I want this or another call encyption service is because I am trying to become a advocate for the legalization of marijuana here in ohio. Im more interested in changing the phone laws to give more freedom back to people.
