Anyone going to make themes?

I'm a designer, and any opporunity for me to make things pretty, I take. Maybe one day I'll find a place to post my Android Themes whenever I figure it all out, but who of you, of all the designers here, plan on working on some android themes?

Unless they really drop the ball, making themes should NOT require coding skill (like how any idoit can make a winamp skin). Heres to hoping there is a cool theme template/utility.

Yup, I'm eager to see some changes here. And if you can change icons and the whole 9 that would be pretty amazing although that seems like their could be some issues with that...

I can't wait to make themes, it always seems like there's something that doesn't match with the wallpapers. Hopefully we'll be able to change the orange highlighting, it doesn't match with anything. lol

Unless somebody knows something right now that I don't, you're going to need a rooted phone (pre RC30) to change the skins.

I guess we have to wait on Google to release an updated SDK that allows skins and themes....if they ever do.

btw screenshots are NOT up to date: some new elements are now in Theme.tar.gz

like psink said, we are working on a theme together right now (I joined psink).

you can download the project there, and change the graphics

there is 1 important thing:

the graphics need to have the suffix .9.png so that they use the 1 pixel black lines which tell android how to stretch.

just play around with it.
