Anyone grab the Daydream VR?

I selected the free Daydream headset when I ordered my Pixel XL. Just got this notice today.

Thanks for being one of the first to order Pixel, a phone by Google. Because you made your purchase during the pre-order period, you're eligible to receive the new Daydream View virtual reality headset on us.

Never had a VR headset before. It may be junk, but it is free....

I've used Cardboard a bit and was genuinely impressed with what a decent VR experience could be provided by some folded up cardboard with cheap plastic lenses. I can only imagine that a proper headset, remote, and bleeding-edge phone hardware/software will make it truly incredible.

You guys will have to let me know if it lives up to my expectations.
