My battery goes from 50% to 0 in an instant. I see this is a common problem. My phone is second hand so I don't have a warranty or anything. Has anyone had any luck replacing the battery and it lasting much longer? Or should I just buy a new phone? If that's the case are there any known hardware issues with the Pixel? Or should I look at a different device?

I haven't done it myself, but there are many users who have successfully replaced the dying battery in their 6P. It shouldn't be a problem as long as you purchase a good kit with all the needed tools and go slowly.
