Anyone here can login with a Google Apps account?

I see many posts about difficulties using Google Apps accounts for various logins on Androids, most of them a bit dated now. Maybe Gapps uses have no login probs anymore. When I try to login and use my Apps account to login I get dumped until I cave in and use my gmail.com login.

Is there some extra stuff to add to the login that tells Google that I'm one of the good guys, maybe /a/(mygoogleappaccount.org)? Or someone to slip a few bucks to? Google (Help) Forums drew no responses over the past year. Bad Google! Go sit in the corner!
 
Found Gmail app but it won't connect. Started new post (sillily, I suppose) with this latest disappointment.
 
How do you get gmail account on, mine says no network everytime, I have taken it off wifi, and still won't let me in, help, been trying for a week

'gmail account on'... what? 'Mail' ? Gmail?

'no network'... where? 3G? WiFi?

'gmail account'? user@gmail.com? user@ownname.com (google apps acc.)?

I have ...@gmail.com and it works via WiFi and 3G @ownname.com is my problem. Seen two solutions but can't yet make either work.
1. Log in to YouTube APP not site and register Google Apps acc name with them and the rest of the Google stuff will accept it, they say. Except YouTube requires a 'gmail' account...

2. fiddle with /data/data/com.android.providers.settings but I can't - even though rooted - even ls that folder.

Still trying.
 
I have 2 separate google apps accounts and 1 personal gmail account. All work great. I can configure it either as an exchange or gmail and they all work

Right now they are all configured using the gmail configuration but this way does not combine all emails into 1 inbox view which for me is fine
 
(I thought that I had responded to this a day or so ago!) Caraj, what phone do you have and what firmware? Did you install your Apps accounts in the usual (for most) way, the way that I am having such trouble with?

I can see my Apps account from Mail but not Google Mail app. I really need to have my Apps' contacts, calendar and tasks in sync with my Hero and feel that my normal Gmail address is highjacking my chances of having my Apps account as my prime Google address.
