Anyone in the same situation as me?

I preordered a blue coral AT&T note 7 at Aug 5th, and I haven't got my phone yet. But for other colors, most users get their device early.

Samsung says that first priority will be to support current Note7 owners with replacement phones, which means that although I have waited longer, I'm at low priority.

Customers who exchange will get a $25 gift card, but I will get nothing even though I have waited longer and will have to wait longer.

Anyone in the same situation?

Actually, you're sort of in the same priority as we are. Every Note 7 (except the ones for China) has been called back for rework... including all the blue coral ones. So it's not that we're owners and you're only on pre-order... we're all waiting on Samsung to get its act together and produce another 2.5 million Note 7s. And ship them. And distribute them.

As far as the $25 gift card goes, most of us don't think that goes nearly far enough to compensate us for the time and trouble of having to set up our devices all over again, or assuming the risk of fire while waiting for an exchange. We should all be given 50% off next year's Note 8 for all this headache. My 2¢

At any rate, you're not alone. You're with all of us, waiting in the same line :)

You are right, $25 is almost nothing compared with the $932 price (after tax). The bad thing is, Samsung never tells you what is the estimated time for you to get your device. I have run out of all my patience. If I knew I have to wait that long, I would definitely not preorder or purchase a note 7.
 
I agree with you. And now (as I posted in another thread) Samsung is threatening to remotely deactivate Note 7s that aren't turned in! If this drags out until November/December, I'm going to turn in the phone, cancel everything, use my Moto X Pure for a few months and hope they get it right with the Note 8. This is ridiculous.

Where the hell did you hear that at. That would be stupid of them to do.

Think of yourself as being lucky.
It is better to have pre-ordered and not received possession than those who did and got burned!

I just called Samsung to cancel my pre-order. I will wait for Pixel XL next month.
Have you already received the free gift for pre-orders? If so, did they make you send it back? My wife hasn't received her phone yet, but she did get her free gear fit 2. I was thinking about canceling her order, but didn't want to send back the fit.

I'm in the same situation. Actually what happened is: I called to cancel on Sunday, the customer service representative said nothing about the gift, Samsung didn't send any email to me to confirm the cancellation, and the status of the order on samsung.com is still "Preparing Order for Shipment", I don't know what Samsung is doing but it seems they completely mess things up.

Samsung just sent me an email saying:
We have not yet been able to ship the products from Samsung Electronics America listed below. Your order will be fulfilled as soon as the product(s) becomes available. The estimated date of fulfillment is 10/17/2016.
They are so stupid that the customer service representative told me the order had been canceled when I called them to cancel it. It's also ridiculous that Samsung tell me to wait until 10/17/2016. I pre-ordered at 08/05/2016, they tell me to wait for two and a half month. I don't want to deal with such a stupid company any more. I don't want to bother calling them to cancel again, neither. I just lock my credit card to make them unable to charge my card. If they finally mess things up and send me a free new phone, I'm happy to use it.
 
Well, I think Samsung is one of those companies that has gotten SO big that the left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing. It's sad that you placed an order and can't cancel it. I'd call them, chat and email them, and get a cancellation confirmation number.

I tried to email about something else before, but they never reply. I called to cancel my order, they say it's canceled now, but nothing happened. Maybe you are right, but I've been tired with Samsung, and I don't want to waste more time on that. I just report my credit card as lost and I will never worry about my money.
