Anyone know about an upcoming XENON flash android camera phone?

My first true camera phone was a Nokia n93 with optical zoom and 3.2mp. Then the Nokia N82 5mp xenon flash. Then was the Nokia N8 with 12mp and xenon flash. Lastly I just bought the Nokia 808 pureview with 41mp (yes 41, not 14) and xenon flash and led.

I love androids OS, but its not enough to win me over from the xenon flash. I see the milestone and others but they are just too old for my liking. Does anyone know of any upcoming android xenon flash phones?? I obviously don't expect a 41mp shooter. But I def do want to see a xenon flash on the back with at least 8mp.

My guess is that a xenon flash would be too battery intensive b/c in video recording you can have the light on all the time, and that would wear out a xenon flash. Plus, it's a much larger drain on the battery, right?

Could the Nokias leave the xenon flash on as a projector light?

I have not heard of one for Android, but i don't keep up with all newer phones, so....it's possible.
 
since nokia is working with microsft.. i am sure they will bring out a windows phone with xenon flash. this will inspire other makers to bring it to android phones.

give it a yr.
 
the xenon flash is not used on the nokias during video recording. You're right, it would be WAY too battery heavy to have it on at all times. It is for camera shots only. Some phones even have a xenon flash and an led (like the nokia 808) so that you can use the led for video and xenon for pictures.
 
Thought so.

I'll sick to a real camera when i need one and only use my phone camera for not so important stuff.
 
Hi all. I am in love with xenon flash. Can't live without it on my phone. I'm a loser, I know. But to each his own...


Rumor said xperia z2 was going to have 20mp w/ xenon, but latest frame pictures are looking doubtful. Rumor had the note 3 w/ xenon also but obv that didn't work out. S5 prob won't. I have heard oppo N1 has xenon and is running android which might be my last resort as oppo hasn't really proven themselves yet (that i'm aware of).

Not even the full might of the Shenzhen Android industry can help you with that one....sorry.

Mind you some LED flash can be extremely bright these days and quite effective I've found, especially in darker places like KTVs and bars. Maybe almost as bright as the little xenon strobe you might find in a Nokia, or many budget digital cameras for that matter.

Hey! Thanks for the reply. You made me laugh.

The thing is, its not about the "brightness" so much for me as much as it is the "stop motion/freezing" aspect. I can turn a fan on FULL speed, then shake my phone as fast as I can back and forth while taking a picture, and the fan blades will come out PERFECTLY still. No blur what so ever. Never having a blurry image with xenon flash is amazing. That's why it's a must have for me.
 
Yep, the Galaxy S4 Zoom is your best bet.

16MP Camera with 1/2.3 sensor
10x Optical Zoom
Xenon flash

1.5GB RAM

It's a very decent phone and in the correct hands it takes excellent shots. :)
