Anyone know how to set your songs as ringtones? I dont see the option anywhere when I go to Music app.

yea i have that but it doesnt load all my songs that are in the music library. am i missing something?

I apparently managed to do so very early on without any third party app with a song that's on my SD card, but for the life of me can't figure out again how I did it....

You should be able to by "long pressing" the song, when inside the media player app, and selecting something along the lines of "Set as ringtone".

Otherwise, just create a folder on the SD card, using a "file explorer" app (I prefer Estrong's File Explorer), name it "Ringtones" (or "Notifications", "Alarms", etc...depending on function) and copy desired files to the required folder(s).

I'm relatively new to this, so please forgive the simplicity of these questions.

1. When I download apps does it matter if it goes to the internal storage or the SD card?
2. If it doesn't matter, would it be in my best interest to store all the apps on the SD card?
3. If so, using ES File Explorer, is it possible to change the view from the SD card to the internal storage?

Thanks to everyone who has helped me figure out which smartphone I wanted to start with and for all the advice I've read on this site.

- Depends on how much space you have in either section, and how you wish to allocate.

2. If it doesn't matter, would it be in my best interest to store all the apps on the SD card?

- Depends on what you want to do...it could be a problem if you switch SD cards frequently, as apps on one card, would not be available on the other.

3. If so, using ES File Explorer, is it possible to change the view from the SD card to the internal storage?

- With the file explorer, you can see files/folders on both internal storage, as well as what is stored on the SD card...and network shares as well.

...good luck.
