I like the UI much better for launcher pro but I do miss some sense widgets like favorites. With launcher pro, I have to keep going through my phonebook or recent calls list to try to find people. It does get tedious. Is there any app/widget that is similar to the sense favorites?

If you look at your phone app, there's 4 tabs. dialer, call log, contacts, and favorites. you can put your favorite contacts there.
If that's too much of a hassle for you, you can put a live folder for starred contacts on one of your homescreens or directly on your LP dock.
