Just wondering if any of my AF buddies are on Strava and would be interested in connecting? Or generally having a chat about running. Always interested in how other folks train and what goals they have.
I'm potentially looking at getting into running this year. One of the boys at work said to avoid injury when I'm first starting out I should jog for a minute, then brisk walk for 2 over whatever distance I decide (3 miles to start off with).
Does this have timers/a function that would let me do that?
I don't think the Strava app allows you to create custom workouts like that. I don't use the app for recording activities myself, I have a Garmin watch to do that. I just upload activities to the Strava website.
But your colleague is right, to start with, you won't be able to run continuously for a long time, so most people do the run/walk combination to gradually build up the distance.
