I see on the Samsung Firmwares site the release i570EXXJE1 is there dated May 2010.

Anyone know what is different in it? Maybe it'll allow Facebook syncing like in another thread!

Anyone tried flashing their Spica with it?

Let us know what's different/better/worse/bugs it fixes etc.

Cheers

I have it on my phone, and there is no facebook sync, it is a bit faster and i didnt have any bugs right now

My 4th firmware update, and the first where I had to enter all my APN settings from scratch.

But I did notice more free RAM after booting. Speedwise, feels the same as i570EXXJD4.

I've gone back to i570EXXJD4. Too many small problems with i570EXXJE. Kept dropping GPRS, and GPS. GTalk would open and then close, and all my APN settings were lost again after I powered off/on my phone.

I didn't notice any speed improvements over JD4.

JD4 very stable and fast for me.

i didn't get all that on xje

but i'm back on samdroid, on that rom i have all my apps

thats why i dont want to use odin as the os/fw seam a bit buggy

To be fair though, this is the latest release, only a couple of weeks old.

The JD1 I have on my phone thanks to Beerkan, is much more stable and quicker than 1.5. Not had a force close yet, no slow downs. No irritation with unlock not working etc etc

If I were you, I'd honestly bite the bullet and upgrade. Its easy, its quick and it works. Plus, from what I have seen so far, the benefits outweigh the risks.
