Anyone with a Galaxy S, does the UI look like it does in this video?

Does anyone have a galaxy S. Nobody seems to have done a proper video review in English, which is surprising since it has been out in the UK for a couple of weeks now.

Anyway, I have seen this video about the TouchWiz interface in general. It looks very impressive, however all the pre production models at CITA and Google IO seem to have a very different style of UI, not quite as polished. Can somebody please shed light on this.

i guess the touch wiz version on the galaxy S must be the older version, cuz this one is simple marvalous!! the UI on the galaxy S seems to have been a copy of the iphone os!
 
it's a bit different to the one on my galaxy, but that's samsung ....their advertising is often not what is delivered, unless that is a newer version that will make it's way onto future firmwares.

not too bothered anyhow, i just replaced the TW launcher with zeam anyway, doesn't look so much like an iphone anymore

but you do agree it looked like iphone!

Bada OS itself seems be a mix of android, iOS and symbian!
I know cuz my younger brother bought one a few days back!
the application menu and the docks icons seem to be like iOS,
the notification tray and a few other things seem to be like android,
and the settings menu etc look like symbian!
 
the phone in the vid looks more like the wave than the galaxy, so it probably is bada.

yes, the galaxy couldn't look any more like an iphone clone unless it actually had an iphone sticker on it, i think the mobile companies told samsung they wanted a phone exactly like the iphone.
 
You see, I would love the galaxy if it's ui was like that, the case I can't do anything about, however the UI I can.

So here is the question, samsung galaxy s + launcher or htc desire.

The S has higher specs, but the desire has a better design.

Btw do custom launchers run over manufacturers UI's or do they replace them?

i have a nexus and a galaxy and the galaxy is far better than the nexus, and you can run any launcher instead of the touchwiz launcher. i use zeam, which also shrinks the icons back to normal size rather than the huge touchwiz size.
it would be hard to pick the desire after a hands on test.
