Anyway to assign icons to music albums, artists and playlists folders?

Hey guys new to this forum and I just had a question. I did the Android phone 7 theme to my captivate and I created similar icons for my music screen. So I made an icon for "Artists", "Albums" and "Playlists" but I can't seem to find away to make them open those specific folders. Like when I press on the albums icon, I'd like it to open the albums tab in the music player. Anybody know of a way to do this or if it's even possible without a rooted device?

Any help is appreciated :)

Hi,

Assuming you have a Launcher App installed:

For Playlist: Press-hold on the Home Screen > Add Shortcut > Music Playlist (Default Music Player) > Select Playlist ...

For Artist: Press-hold on the Home Screen > Add Shortcut > Activities > (Scroll to Music) Select com.htc.music.ArtistBrowserActivity

For Album: Press-hold on the Home Screen > Add Shortcut > Activities > (Scroll to Music) Select com.htc.music.AlbumBrowserActivity

For Genre: Press-hold on the Home Screen > Add Shortcut > Activities > (Scroll to Music) Select com.htc.music.GenreBrowserActivity

With the above you will create an icon linking directly within the music app. If you want to create a custom icon for each link then use DesktopVisualiser!!
