ap to block texts & bounce a reply back

looking for an app that will block text messages from select contacts & autosend a reply back - a 'do not disturb' kind of thing . I would like to leave open the ability of family etc to text whenever but i've got a few friends that can't seem to grasp the concept of I actually like to sleep sometimes - i've found a few apps that will block but not one that will bounce back a canned response to let them know I am ok but currently not available.

dang ...is there just nothing out there? i've tried so many - the only one close to accomplishing this is 'afirewall' and it is deplorable

I'm going to beat @Thom (for once ) and mention Tasker. It may be overkill for what you need, but it is definitely capable of sending canned SMS responses in response to certain triggers (like an incoming SMS after 10PM).

Otherwise I'm afraid I haven't had a lot of luck with apps specifically designed to bounce texts.

ok ive looked it up - and it looks intimidating - do you both use this app? im not a phone wiz so im wondering if this is for amateurs LOL . thank you so much for the recommendation!
