Help APN confusion

[Android Question]

I have a ZTE zmax pro through metro PCS. Underneath the normal APN is one that reads" metroPCS US IMS hide" could you please tell me exactly what this is?

Has anyone found out the answer to this question? I've asked METRO PCS directly and they told me it was put in APN settings in error (really? METRO PCS sent me settings via text msg). Didn't matter how many times I asked, they wouldn't answer my question.
I'm very curious

Try selecting the "metroPCS US IMS hide" APN settings, cycle power on your phone, and see what happens...
