App allows PC music playlists to sync to phone?

Is there an application for my PC that will allow me to create playlists and then sync them to the phone?

I have tried an aplication called Double Twist that is SOOOO slow to sync with my existing itunes library and then when it syncs with the phone it does not put all the files on the sd card. For example i tried to sync a playlist with over 1000 songs but only got 93 on the phone, go figure!!

An application on the same lines as double twist would be awsome if it worked.

I dont like Windows Media Player so i'm trying to avoid tht route.

cheers guys

Hi Fos, I've made your post into its own thread and moved it to the Android Application Forum so that you'll get your answer much quicker (hopefully).

Cheers Roze.

flu13, i did try MediaMonkey but coud not figure out how to get my itunes playlists into the app and then onto the phone.

Any advice?

I know you don't like wmp but don't bother even as a last resort. It will sync files in a playlist, but not the actual playlist, making the entire thing pointless.

In terms off double twist, make sure you're in the right usb mode. I had issue with it initially as well because I toggled between charge and sync modes which gave it access to different storage (sd vs. sd and internal) and confused it. It is painfully slow though....

Hmm, does anyone know if there's an app that also works with Windows Media Player? Or at least WMP's file extensions.

Be nice if the Andriod OS used an open-source playlist extension (ie .m3u) Then I could just create my playlists and dump them into the folder "Music\<Song folder>". :(

EDIT: The only reason I even need to do this is because for some reason my HTC Eris doesn't get all of the .mp3 tags....I've got about 18 songs that have "unknown artist" yet if I look at the songs through Media Player (12) the artist names are there. If I look at the same songs located on my PC...sure enough artists' names appear.

Maybe a delete/resync is needed but it would still be nice to brows to "Music\<artist>\<.m3u,etc>" and just play from that....like you can on your computer :P

If you use windows media player to sync the playlist, and then copy the playlist file (right click it -> open file location -> copy) to the music folder on your usb, it shows up and works
