App backup (free) alternative root and non root

This is kinda a two part question all in one area.

First the root backup
Is there was a backup alternative to titanium backup that is free? I have already bought titanium backup, I was just curious what the alternatives people would recommend, that has batch install and again free alternative.

Second the Non-root backup.
What's the best app to backup apps with if your not rooted, and to has batch install and as above, free.

Helium for both.

Helium is free, but the free version has no batch functions. Works for unrooted.
