App for measuring distance traveled with a car.

can anyone tell me how to setup google maps to measure the distance traveled by car or another good app that can do that if G-Maps can't and i mean for it to measure it when i turn it on and start driving not to just tell me the distance between A and B.

As I said, Google calculates how long you were driving for, the same way a pedometer works. I get emails from Google every once in a while how long I drove that month.
 
Ok, how about something like DigiHUD Speedometer or GPS Odometer?
Also I'm trying out free versions of mileiq, everlance, and a new app called milecatcher. All of them do the basics great, but I find mileiq screens make it harder for me to remember trips to log them.

I've used it for the last 3 to 4 years for creating and saving my own hiking routes which it does brilliantly. It has tracking functionality and although I haven't used it for that purpose I reckon it would meet your requirements.

Certainly worth giving it a try.

Basically go into Google Maps, turn on Location History, then at the end of the day, look at your time line and you will see where you've been and how much you drove or walked or whatever that day so far.
