Help App for saving Sms mms pics

What's the best app for backing up and saving sms/mms text and pics / vids

Honestly I use the Google Photos app, and it works very well...

When I open a photo sent by MMS, and long press the photo, it is saved to the Messenger folder in Google Photos, where I can view the photo, edit it, and share it.

I am in the Textra SMS camp.

I have it set up to default to download all of my Photos to Gallery and they show up in a folder called Textra.
I use the KK Gallery app to view my stuff, lots better than most gallery apps.

as far as sending pictures? I use Google Drive.

Another Gallery idea ... I use ...
A+ Gallery Phots & Videos – organizer for photos and videos

It has all the typical options and some additional grouping options I have not seen in any other gallery app ... like year ... or blue.

(Yes year is handy ... I remember taking the picture ... I have no idea when or where I stored it.)

I just tried this and it worked for me for mms.

For SMS texts only, I uses SMS Backup and restore

For regular photos/vidoes, I use Google Photos
