app for tracking battery drainage

is there an app that tracks the battery usage of all the applications on a phone?

Menu > Settings > About Phone > Battery Use

You can get a bit more information using Spare Parts

I use Battery Monitor Widget.
The app shows the actual current of the phone.
If I suspect an app, I look at the actual current and then start the suspected app.

Another +1 for spare parts.

My wife's battery was draining, the android battery info simply said the 'android system' was responsible. By using spare parts I could see that the facebook app was holding a partial wake lock so the phone was running 100% of the time, not sleeping as it should.

how were you able to tell? i just installed spare parts and i didn't see anything that was app specific on it.

Battery History -> Change the first drop-down to 'Partial wake usage'.

If you haven't been using your phone (ie it should be idling) the 'running' percentage under 'other usage' in the battery history section should be pretty low.

I've just started using Battery Monitor Widget - it's amazing what it can do, graphs of capacity and voltage that can be scrolled, history sampled every minute.

The Widget shows Voltage, Current and Temperature.

On the Notification Bar it allows a LARGE DIGIT display of Battery Capacity - I've removed Battery Circle Widget.

Allows for 1% steps on Atrix
