Help [App Help] Google hangouts Keyboad load time lag

This seems to only happen with Hangouts. I can load the app and even a single thread, but the keyboard take anywhere from 10-60 seconds to load. I am using the standard lollipop keyboard, no special add ons, haptic feedback is off. Google hangouts does not have the dialer installed, nor is it managing my SMS. I use the Google messenger app for that and it loads fast (so does the keyboard). Also, I'm currently running the Aviate launcher, though I've had this problem on the stock lollipop launcher, as well as Google Now Launcher prior to Lollipop.

Any help in stopping this lag would be appreciated as I use hangouts quite often.

Here is what I have tried:

1. Hangouts app cache clear & Data clear
2. Uninstall-reinstall
3. Google Keyboard cache clear
4. Phone reboot
5. Clearing storage space
6. Factory wipe of phone
7. Safe mode
