Hot Reboot

• The easiest way to free up memory, close all programs and clear up some bugs on an Android phone.
• No more taskkillers, task managers... just hot reboot once in a while. Hot reboot is at least twice as fast as a normal phone reboot.
• Better than a task killer because it restarts Android. (background info: Google and Cyanogen comments imply task killer/manager apps are pointless | andrew | Androinica)

Good stuff, buddy, using it on my Incredible. Works great. I have around 260mb free when I do a full reset, and when I do this I have 240mb. works for me. Thanks.

In the end I think that the amount of free memory is the same for both reboot modes. Take a look at how fast the extra memory is consumed after a "cold", full reboot and all processes are loaded.
