We at Acid Ape Studios would like to let you know about Hyperplane.

So, what is Hyperplane? In a nutshell:

Swipe, then launch. From anywhere.

More precisely, Hyperplane is a semi-transparent layer that is displayed above the active application. Hyperplane allows you to open applications, web bookmarks and contacts or to perform an Internet search.

To activate Hyperplane, you just need to swipe across the left or right edge of the screen (these bindings are configurable).

While conceptually similar to most home screen applications available on Android™, Hyperplane does not interrupt the current application when activated. This approach has two major benefits:

• activating Hyperplane is instantaneous
• hiding Hyperplane is also instantaneous: you are immediately brought back to the application that is still running below Hyperplane

Hyperplane works well on phones:

And on tablets (or phones in landscape mode anyway):

But Hyperplane is much more than that. Feel free to try it out.
