Hi
I'm looking for a way to create an icon that would, when clicked on, make and emergency phone call to 112 or send a pre-filled SMS to a given phone number.
My current car, a Citroen C3 Picasso, was supposed to have two buttons that would create the actions above but that option is apparently not available outside of France for this model. I therefore use my Android 4.2 .1 Smartphone in a holder on my Dashboard. It would be nice if I could create these buttons as icons on the device.
Is there any existing app that would do that or can one be created?
Thanks for any help on the matter

Add the emergency number (112) to your contacts. Then you should have a widget called "Direct Dial" that lets you put an icon on your phone that directly dials a specific number from your contacts.

There was an app released during occupy wall street called I'm being arrested or something close to that which when activated would SMS everyone on your list within the app a message. Haven't looked for it in quite a while if it is still around it may help with what you're trying to do.

Hi mills 2533, thanks, it works fine. Have to be careful though with numbers you don't want to activate by chance just by brushing a finger over it like the emergency number. Currently this widget acts like any other icon: a short touch opens the app and a long one gets it into move/remove mode so basically it's still better for these numbers to leave them as a normal contact so you need two touches: one to open the contact and another to phone. Still this works fine with numbers where it doesn't really matter if you accidentally call, like Home or something. So it's still useful.
