app no longer in market... transfer between phones?

I have an app on my HTC incredible that is no longer in the market... I just purchased the HTC thunderbolt, can I transfer the app over somehow? I'm not very technical savy, but willing to try and learn something in the process :) thank you for your time and any help would be appreciated.... I hope there was nothing posted like this in the past, I couldn't find any definitive answers. Thanks again!

Assuming it is not paid for, or copy protected....

Install an app manager such as AppMonster or Astro on your Incredible and Thunderbolt.

Using AppMonster do a backup of the app in question to your SD card (this is fairly easy)

Take out the SD card from your Incredible and put it in your Thunderbolt. Then using AppMonster you can "restore" your app to your new phone. It might ask you to change a setting in doing so - "Allow install of applications of non-market applications" (Settings>Application Settings>Unknown Sources)

Thank you for your quick reply and detailed response... I'll give er a try n let you know how we made out.

Where is the two thumbs up icon when you need it? Your suggestion worked perfectly, thank you... Thanks for your help!
