App pretending to be wiimote?

I was wondering if it would be possible to allow a phone's bluetooth to act as a Wiimote, using bluetooth and the accelerometers and possible even the camera to do screen pointing. It may also be able to have custom key setups using combinations of buttons from wiimote + nunchuck (or classic controller) on one screen.

I've found information on the wiimote here, and there's another thread here: here, but nobody seemed sure whether it could be done.

I don't believe this would be possible because of the limitations on the android OS. Maybe on a rooted phone, but then the practicability of the app would suffer alot.

Even if android could trick the wii into thinking it was a wiimote, using the phone with its camera pointed at the tv (for the IR bar) would be awkward at best and not very useful.

it would be super cooled if the android phone can do that. But not in these present day yet.
