app questions

I have a released a number of free apps and am now moving into a few apps that we will have for sale on the market. My question is I have been told google takes 30% of all sale, but what i am uncertain of is as the developer am i paid by google, the phone carrier or multiple sources for app sales. Also does anyone know if sales taxes need to be taken care of on my end or by google or are they an issue at all? Thank you anyone who can assist me.
