App recommendations

Hey all,

This morning I stupidly managed to drop my phone down the toilet. Took it to CPW and got a brand new one replaced (luckily still had insurance).

One thing's that disappointed me is that all my apps have disappeared. I'm having a relapse in memory and for the life of me can't remember the apps I had installed. Anyone have any good apps to recommend? Good music players, good ebook readers, etc? Games?

I'm still new to the Android thing since my Vibrant is my first phone, but I downloaded an Xbox Live Avatar Widget, you can get yours, or your buddies avatar on your main screen, if you click it it gives an option to call or text them. Useful imho, if you don't play Xbox/Have a Gamer Tag, it's useless.

:/

Sorry to hear about your...mishap. I won't ask for details! :D

I've heard that the Market will keep track of apps you've downloaded (in that it's linked to you Google ID), so maybe you can go there and find what you need? Also, think about installing AppBrain (AppBrain - the best Android apps and games on the Android market), which can keep track of what you've downloaded and can sync with your phone.

And good for you for having insurance!

Someone just mentioned Appbrain to me - I'm gonna take a look and see if I can get my apps back. What a great application!

I'll check the Market as well... perhaps it'll jog my memory.

Haha, yeah I was going to cancel it a couple of weeks prior but decided not to. Thank god!
