App regarding phone charging

I would like to see an app, that tells you when you started charging your phone battery, and when you stopped. Also how much did it charge in that time. That would be useful to know. I realize I can do that by myself, but I would like an app for this, on Android.

Unfortunately some of smartphones does not has the current sensor for battery charge, like Motorola Moto G, it's become impossible to measure the amount of energy drained.

Huh. Strange... Weird.
I thought it was possible, in my mind all it requieres is a program code or something in an app, and it would determine the state of the battery when the charger connects; the state of the battery when the charger disconnects from the phone; percentage gained, and how long did it take to achieve that percentage. Easy. Right?

Does the Moto G not have a battery % indicator in the status bar?

How does the Moto G shut down at full charge if it lacks a current sensor?

You can see it graphically with GSam Battery Monitor, that's the only app I know that actually tracks it.

If you're rooted, Android Tuner will show current flow on a number of phones but it's just a snapshot.
