App Request: Calorie Counter similar to Lose It!

I am coming over from and Iphone where I used a great app, Lose It! I know there are some diet/calorie apps out there, but none like this one. This one allows you to completely customize your meals, down to every ingredient. It lets you set you a daily calorie allowance, it was a great app. I have lost 30 lbs using this app and have been struggling since losing the ability to use the app.

If anyone can point me in the right direction, that would be great. Also, with the use of barcode scanning, an Android app could top what I have used.

Thanks

Just wondering if you have found any great diet apps yet??? I've been on the search as well and haven't found one that is user friendly enough.

I also use Calorie Counter and the website, fatsecret.com (which syncs with Calorie Counter). It has some nice features, and even can use the barcode scanner to enter food you ate without having to search for it.

I'm down 3 pounds in less than a week using Calorie counter and the web site. I was, however, very sad at Applebee's yesterday with my family and friends from out of town when I was eating the under 550 calorie item and they weren't. Oh well.....

I like the barcode scan feature of calorie counter. Only issue is that you could only scan and put into a meal.
I would like to scan and put it into a food list so I can scan a ton at once.
Did they change this feature by chance?

Thanks for all the reply's! I started using calorie counter as it seems to me the most popular. So far I like it. It would be nice to be able to customize a little more, but I can work around the issues. When I add exercise, I choose walking at 4mph for 1/2 hour. It says I burned 190 calories, but I walk on the highest incline and my treadmill says I lost 345 caloreis, so I just need to add that I walked for an hour and it about evens out. I too love being able to scan food items! I have gained weight since becoming addicted to this forum  so I hope this helps get me back on track! lol

I have to admit the calorie counter app is decent but its nothing like Lose It! I lost 40lbs in 2 months using Lose It! and have decided to go back to carrying my ipod touch at least while i get back on track to losing more weight. I have about 40 more pounds to go before i'm where i want to be, so it won't be too bad. Sure scanning barcodes is fun and all but the interface is just clunkier. Plus with calorie counter i put in my specs and it says i can eat 2400 calories a day and lose weight whereas Lose It has me at about 1800. 600 calories a day is a good chunk, thats nearly a full meals worth of calories on a daily basis. If i could figure out how to tailor my schedule on calorie counter i would probably just use it instead but for now Lose It! just seems to be a better app overall.

You can change that number by clicking on the Daily Summary screen and after you enter in your profile date and do the calculation, then adjust that number. I did as I know that my metabolism is not what they think. it is. I like to lower it so I am right at the RDI most days and losing or staying even. Then it's easier to ramp up the exercise or cut the food, or both
