App says its installed,but isn't

I'm an android user running lineage OS on a OnePlus 3T and I'm trying to install the Ally Mobile banking app from the google play store. The installation will not complete, I've tried several times. It says it's already installed. When I attempt to reinstall, it says the app will be installed shortly, but it never does. I know the working solution for most normal android users is to clear the cache in google play services, however that's not an option for me as a degoogler. I'm trying to keep my phone google free, hence the reason for using Lineage OS. I tried clearing the cache in TWRP, no luck there either. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Ready to put a fist through the wall over here!

You are trying to install from the Play Store but don't have Play Services installed? Have you had problems with other apps, or are you serious enough about deGoogling that this is the only one you have installed from the Play Store?

(I admit that my version of deGoogling would not include the Play Store or a Google account on the phone, but I guess this is the only safe way of getting that banking app?).

Not knowing the base requirements for the Ally Mobile app this is just speculation but perhaps being a financial services app have you confirmed that this app will even work with Lineage OS? A lot of banking apps don't work with rooted and/or custom ROMs devices because they trigger Google's SafetyNet oversight. Even if you did or didn't root your OnePlus you still needed an unlocked bootloader state, which also affects SafetyNet.

That's correct, I don't have play services installed. No probs with other apps and I've got loads of apps. I'll have to check the Lineage OS reddit and see if others are encountering the same issues. It makes sense a financial app wouldn't work well with a degoogled lineage os phone. The world sure does try to punish you if you attempt to opt out of Google cult. Guess I'll have to rock two phones, one contaminated with Google products so I can zelle my landlord (who annoyingly insists on being paid through zelle), and a clean phone for everyday use. The real annoying part here is that I need the Ally mobile app in order to use Zelle to pay my landlord. My other bank wasn't "zelle preferred" so now I'm going down this rabbit hole of tech issues that are seemingly impossible to solve. All this BS was forced upon me - I was doing just fine previously with my super dope Lineage OS phone. I know y'all feel my pain. And I thought it was bad enough the googlers are driving up real estate costs in my hood. They just love to disrupt and the make the world a "better" place with their invasive practices. Thanks for offering your take! End of rant!
