app sold my information

I don't download multiple apps at the same time. I do this so I can tell if there is an app that isn't compatible with my phone. Well two weeks ago while at the hospital with my wife (we had a baby boy) I had downloaded a game called zombie farm, in the info it never said anything about downloading other things or sharing with third party apps. I download the game and go through the whole set up, for a non social game you had to have internet access, okay not a problem. Odd but okay. Well after I quit the game I see that while I was playing something from the company caller mobage was installed which kinked me to other things, needless to say I immediately uninstalled both the game and the mobster app that self installed . Ever since then I have gotten multiple pop ups on my phone, things that come up like how an update for your phone does, except its an advertisement for something non game related. And then just yesterday I started getting slammed with those premium text messages that are so bothersome.
This zombie farm game by mobage is the only gam or app I have installed in the last thirty days, I've emailed the app maker but received no reply for many attempts.
Anyone know what I can do? I've reported the app but I want this fixed. I feel sold out.

You are the beneficiary (aka. victim) of something called air push ads. These nefarious services push ads to your phone through the notification system even when you are not in the app. You can check out what you've got with an app like Addons Detector | AppBrain Android Market. Then you can get rid of it. I'd also recommend boycotting the company/developer who uses this "feature" to send a strong message of disapproval.

Congrats on the new baby. Everything else pales by comparison. :D

Download Air Push Detector. It will do a quick scan and let you know which apps are using Air Push to send you the ads through the notification system. Then, you can delete them. I bet you have something else that is continuing to send the ads even though you've deleted the game that started it all.
