App that does DIFFERENT notifications?

HI All - I wonder if anyone can help me with different notifications for events on my nexus one?

I have only had the phone about a week and I really like it over my old iPhone. HOwever, there is a big YUK about it and that is that there are not any different notifications for different events. I mean, I get the same 'noise' for email, connections, voice mail etc. Because I get so much email, I have learned to sorta ignore the notification. Thing is, i really need to know if I have voice mail or not? So... is there an app, or a way of changing the notification JUST for voice mail? Sure would appreciate any help - sorry if this is a dumb newbie questions..

i dont have a nexus one, but im sure in your phone settings you can change the notification for you voicemail. go to settings, then call settings or something like that and there will be options, usually things like vibrate or ring or both, alternatively, something that works on my phone, if you find an mp3 file you want to use instead, you can hold that down and apply that to different things

Each setting is controlled from within the individual app.

Here are some examples

for handcent: Menu>Settings>Notification Settings

For Gmail: Menu>Settings

For Mms: Menu>Settings>Notification Settings

for GTalk: Menu>More>Settings

For Calendar: Menu>More>Settings



The list goes on. There is no need for an app to change settings for each program.
