App to play mp3s from my Home Network

Hi All New to the Android world and my recently purchased Scroll 8" But are there any straight-forward app that can connect 'directly' to my desktop pc external harddrives (eg, drives N, M etc) and stream the file over my home wifi network. I want to avoid web-based streaming as this involves loads of unncessary work. Obviously, the likes of my little media streamer can talk directly to my video drive and stream directly over my home wifi, so surely my Scroll Android should be able to do it ?? Any info would be much appreciated

Orb will work over wifi directly device to device if you are on the same network as the computer.
