are there any apps (that do not require root) that you can use to schedule your phone to restart (ie power down and up) on say a daily basis? I have a droid incredible 4G on Verizon.

Unfortunately the only way to get a true reboot app is to have root. There is one app Fast Reboot that simulates a reboot by closing/restarting all core and user processes without having root.
