App to text from PC

One app which would be very useful would be one that allows me to put the phone in the desk dock and view/answer email or texts on the PC screen. I use to have a Sony Ericsson phone and was able to do this via a program called MyPhoneExplorer.

Does anyone know if this is possible with the Desire? Do any such apps exist?

EDIT: MyPhoneExplorer now works with Android phones

There is also a paid version called remotesms full, although not sure what the benefits of the full version are.

Not had chance to try this app myself, been meaning to get round to it so if you do check it out please come back and let me know if its any good

Thanks for the replies. Obviously there are plenty of apps out there

I have settled for Android desktop, quick and easy to set up and use and just what I was looking for. Would recommend it. Still under construction.

Will look at textdro as well to compare.

actually it is Andro Remote Desktop in the market but the icon on the phone home page says Android Desktop. Get it here as well - http://www.androiddesktopremote.com

Took a look at texdro and looks good but I will stick with Andro for the time being.

Any more suggestions?
