App to track mobile internet usage, by application

Hello,

Is there any Internet traffic tracking app that would show the amount of data that was downloaded/uploaded by specific application?

I'd like to tweak my phone, setting up which apps should run in background and which not. My traffic plan is somewhat limited, so it's important not to go over certain limit. However, I want to enjoy as much onlineness as possible, thus I need to know what apps consume the most traffic.

I've found several that track data, but none that also track which app is using the data. I hope someone out there knows of one cause I'd love to have it as well.

same here. i use a widget that tracks cell and wifi usage, separately.

I'm looking for the same type of app. My Sprint account shows data transfer of 706MB in one day, and I didn't even use my phone much. I think whatever is running is also draining my battery.

I've been looking for this as well as my Nexus data usage seems to be crazy. I will definitely try Spare Parts but there's also an option available under Battery History (*#*#4636*#*#) -> Network Usage.

any1 know if theres any app traffic logger that can be set to track when only a 3g/gprs connection is on? I had a look at trafficstats and it seems to just track all data connections with no options to set a data type.

Spare Parts shows you network usage (i.e., cellular network) by application so it excludes WiFi.
