App to Turn Internet On and Off !

I am talking about getting my phone off from the Internet when I don't want to use the Internet. Even if I am not running any browser my phone can still be connected to the internet right ? So I am looking out for a App which only when I turn on my phone is connected to the internet, so that way I could save only limited 3G Data Plan.

Switch to Airplane Mode if you want to 'switch off the internet'.
 
I use Widgetsoid2 for all kinds of switches and indicators. Has "Data off" switch that just turns off data (keeps cell radio on), a little different than airplane mode.
 
Myself, I either turn it on and off with the dropdown toggles that come with various custom ROMs or use Power Widget.
 
I think the confusion came by calling it "internet" when in reality you mean date. There are ways to toggle it on or off in your settings, notification menu, or power control widget. Where exactly it is depends on your rom so I suggest a quick google search that includes what rom you're running.
 
That can complicate e.g. navigation. And probably a number of other applications.
It's not funny when you're navigating to a totally unknown address, and the navigation suddenly cuts out!
So you had best set that 'once a day' at 3.00 AM or something.

Do you use the Data off feature on Widgetsoid? I have it installed and when I turn Data on via the widget, the data turns on then immediately off. It turns on again after 30-60 seconds then remains on. Have never been able to figure out why the on/off business.
