app to View (mirror) AND Control computer from tablet?

Hi, first post here, as well as first android app, and first android tablet (still in mail)

The tablet is on android 2.2 (Le Pan TC 970
and the computer is on windows XP and running ATI Radeon HD 3650

Goal is an app for an app that will allow:

..load Steam game on computer (very slow non-action game(syberia)
..use Wifi (home network) or bluetooth to
..view the exact computer screen (mirror = with mouse cursor, etc),
..and control the cursor and clicks from android tablet
controlling keyboard would be a plus but not needed.

I've seen a few apps that look similar at least
(ScreenSlider Pro, android VNC Viewer, PocketCloud Remote)

Someone at the forums already said that Teamviewer will give you the exact computer screen, complete with mouse cursor, which you can control with the touchscreen.http://androidforums.com/android-applications/508429-remote-control-computer.html#post4017074

What options are there?

I have come to depend on Splashtop and its really good. I use it from my Android phone to connect to two Macs and two Windows laptops. I've also got the client installed on my iMac and from it, I can also control the other compters that have the server side program installed (they call it the streamer-- and its free). It automatically picks up computers on the same wifi network that have it installed. And you can log in via your Google account to access the computers from 3G/ 4G/ another wifi network.

Now I haven't used the tablet version, which is a little more expensive. And then there's another version specifically geared toward controlling a game (you have to have an NVIDIA card in the computer, I think). I'll let you figure that part out since I don't know any more than I've briefly read. But the ecosystem for the whole thing works really well.

Thanks, I'll check them out.

I don't understand much of the lingo. I have fiber-optic going to a WiFi router and my computer is running off WiFi. The computer isn't WiFi-connected to any other computer or device.
So I'm looking for an app that would be easy for me without any advanced set-up.
Is this relatively easy for a beginner?

I have ATI Radeon 3650 on my computer.

The SplashTop GamePad THD app requires 3.1+
SpashTop Remote Desktop does work with 2.2 and with XP

Sure thing! That Kainy app looks pretty handy, too. But yes, you'll want to get the Splashtop HD version because it is made to work with tablets-- I guess it has some extra features that the phone version doesn't have.

I also just read that SplashTop streams video and sound, while TeamViewer only streams video

I wonder what the exact difference is between SplashTop Remote Desktop and SplashTop Remote Desktop HD?
According to the info on google play they differ slightly in file-size.

Maybe HD is optimized for devices with faster cpu, and more RAM? Or larger resolutions?

I'm completely new to android and apps, but that'd be my guess. Better to get the HD version (if it'll work with 2.2), rather than save a few bucks to get the regular version and need to also buy the HD version later.

I believe the HD verison is meant for tablets.
