Just pick up a Moto Z Play.... How do I transfer my apps from my Nexus 5x... I did use "Copy My Data" app but it only copied my pics ,contacts, videos and calendar ... I need an app to copy all my apps.
 
You are correct Sir. however, it's not doing it..... It always has before with all my nexus phones... I thought that maybe as it's a Moto phone that it doesn't like it...
 
Interesting. I just called Google tech support.. Got a foreign voice on the phone and explained my issue... I can help he said, It will be $200 .. I said, I don't think so.. I've talked to you guys before and it never cost a thing....
 
Just got off the phone with the play store... They said I would have to download the old fashion way... So , I will be busy on my camping trip to the lake this weekend.... When I transferred from my Nexus5 to my Nexus 5X everything came over in just a few minutes.... Now that was a back to back of the phones.. but this one never asked for that....
 
Make sure the Google isn't signing in the previous owner's account..some times even the factory reset some settings keep coming back..like he said, you are supposed to see all of your apps inside your Google play store..

Isn't that an indicator you were using that phone without it actually being tied to your Google account. If it was still linked to its previous owner before it just follows it wouldn't be loading your apps.
 
You are absolutely right...Also what does it tell you about Google techs.I would have thought that would have been one of the first questions asked...Was the phone factory reset .if not, that would be a good reason for not transferring.,
