App Transfer

I'm trying to transfer apps from my wife's old phone, an Ace 2X to her new S5 Neo. When I tried to use Samsung Switch it said that it would not work on the Ace 2X because it is using an outdated version (4.0.4). I also tried to transfer to a micro sd card trying 2 different sd card management apps but that didn't work either.
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

maybe try samsung kies instead of switch

or just log into the playstore on the new device and install them there...
.. the ace2 has such limited space that it can't have that many apps to transfer.
