App which actually blocks text messages

After receiving some malicious text messages, O2 have suggested that as a first step I download one of the android apps which not only allow you to block calls but texts as well from selected numbers. So far the ones I have tested don't actually block text messages. Is there one of these apps that actually does what it says on the tin?

So far, it seems call control worked well enough for me in that regard

And as I know there is also an app named: callmaster

Extreme call blocker is the one I use and it will block texts as well as calls. You have the option in the settings to save the text or delete it straight away,without ever getting to read it. Never had any problems with it. Hope that helps.
