Apps App with recipe database

I am looking to create an app that will have a number of recipes, with my own flair and such. a recipe app, nothing much new.

Anyway, and this is probably the wrong place to ask, but are some of the more well known databases for recipes like allrecipes free to use, or is there a place I can find a free to use database of recipes? Should I attempt creating a database of my own? Would buying one be the way to go?

If anyone has any information, Id love it (and you too).

Probably the cheapest way would be to just go out and buy some recipe books and make the databases yourself.

I think it would also be handy to allow the users to upload their own recipes. Even adding Facebook integration and tying some sort of social media integration in with it.
