One would think that Google Assistant and Google Search would be on speaking terms, but apparently not. I was at a restaurant for lunch and a great old 70s rock song came on. I couldn't remember who did the song, so I asked Google Assistant.
"I don't recognize songs yet."
Well, aren't you special?
I opened the Google Search app and asked "who does this song?" She listened for about 5 seconds and gave me the answer.
Now why didn't Google Assistant know that? Couldn't Google Assistant open Google Search, get the answer and give it to me? THIS is why I sent Google Home back. Alexa is usually stupid about things like this, but I expect her to be stupid. Google should know everything.
