funny thing is... i know a lot of iphone users that love their iphones.. and upgrade every 2 yrs...
why 2 yrs?? because they know it is about to be F-ed with by apple to slow down and have issues!!!
they stop taking the apple ios updates!!!!

but they still love their iphones and keep throwing $$$ at apple!!
why the hell would apple change their behavior???

i just dont get it!!!!! what is wrong with the general public?
 
The "consumer" meme has exceeded their wildest expectations!

All jokes and cynicism aside, I do try to talk to people whenever the opportunity arises. You can't force feed people red pills, but if/when they show interest nibbling at some baited comment you make is when you have an opportunity to convert, or at least give them some info. Practice your friendly and fact based arguments repeatedly so you have them at the ready and don't come across as having Asberger's. If you are like me you will crash and burn at first until you learn to tone it down and give a little bit at a time and let them take it in. It's very hard (for me at least) to do but I work on it every day.

Many people get an iPhone for their first smart phone, but then an Android for their second, third, etc. Many people are not a fan of the walled garden, etc. once they start bumping into it. Some never do and remain happy. Then there are those who only want an iPhone, which has become a sort of status symbol with some people. I don't waste my time with the latter sort, and neither should you.

As an aside, Android itself, while being far better than iOS, is still not as open/free/libre as most people seem to think it is. I am following the development of the Purism Librem 5 with great excitement!

Bitcoin has grown from approximately I think it was about a few thousand dollars for one bitcoin to a staggering 19 000 usd in only a few months time!!!!

I don't think anything in the history of mankind has exponentially grown so quickly not even gold has such power appreciation.

Forget about phones and technology! Go for bit coin!!!

Leave the iFrauds and iBurgers alone and get them thar bitcoins!!!

Are in no way mutually exclusive. In fact, from where I'm sitting it seems very likely that both might be true. Too soon to tell though.

The last iphone I owned was the iphone 5 back in 2013. Ever since 2014 I have owned an android phone. My first android phone was the HTC One M8, I still like my 2016 ipad pro 9.7

I'm staying as far away from that shiz as i can get.

put my money into shares of BAA and S (Banro and sprint)
crypto currency is a joke ! only the very Wealthy can even use the stuff.

For me to be able to open a wallet and accept payment in bit-coin over on my website i have to deposit 0.01BTC
which as of this writing is $141.10 USD

If Bitcoin is to become the future currency, then it needs to be a lot more stable. The volatility right now would be enough to cause financial mayhem in most countries.

Well I Managed To swap one from a a crushed Iphone s3 to a Iphone s3 that needed a Batt.

But if I remember right ( Been years ago)
I had to disassemble the stupid thing with a paper-clip and a tooth-pick
and to get it all working again took some Big-leage Chew ( Chewed ) to hold it in place
a rubberband to Keep the pieces together and a bottle of Crazy-glue and a drinking Straw to
Glue all the pieces back together...


Ok I Jest !
But yeah i replaced one once and it was a pain in the A** !!

With so many people always griping and moaning about battery life, Apple took this debatable step to alleviate daily usage battery drainage. Not to defend this action entirely I see this more as just fodder for those haters who like to hate as opposed to a real event. Anyone who expects their old hardware to not have deprecated performance issues is living in a bubble. Slowing down processor clock speed on a flagship phone (Apple only markets flagship models), even older ones, is a questionably odd thing to do but when compared to our much, much more expansive Android marketplace the sheer number of sub-optimal, even new Android phones being pushed into the market by lessor known sources is a bigger problem. Performance wise even an artificially reduced flagship phone is comparable to a below-spec new one.

I can see your point of view, but I think the controversy here is that they sneaked it in, without letting users know. A cynic could question their motives. And if they were being completely above board about it, why not take the opportunity to explain the issues regarding battery performance, and offer users the choice of whether to slow down the system, or not?

Yes, there's no denying that this was a dodgy act but at this point anyone who owns any smartphone and isn't aware that of this kind of action isn't frequently taking place needs to be. Apple is hardly the only corporation taking liberties at the consumer's expense. For those who don't expect occurrences like this to be taking place, they should not be using a smartphone and they should not be using any online social media service.

I can Completely Understand that
after a certain period of time it makes sense to throttle a cpu ...
I mean how else are you going to make the Hardware last longer ?
in fact on some of my linux hardware I purposely throttle the CPU so I don't burn it up building or de-compileing things lol!

Maby in fact Apple is employing a safe guard of sort to keep your flagship phone from burning up a great piece of hardware after 17520Hours of continuous usage ....
17520Hours = 2years

I would be thinking that yes for power users that sucks...
but only because there's not a toggle in settings thats labled
Eco -Mode

But I still stand on one thing...

Good point, and just for the record, I'm not an Apple hater. I can see why this revelation will be jumped on by the anti Apple crowd. I'm sure as you say that other manufacturers are pulling equally dodgy stunts, Android hardware included.

NO.. i do not buy this crap excuse from apple and the apple followers.. fake news producers.

so my BMW car...
once my car is 3 yrs old.. at my next free maintenance service..
they reduce the horsepower of my car.. so that it will last longer? use less gas/petrol?
without telling me.. as to make it seem unusable..
and then talk to me about the new BMW with more horsepower???

without telling me they are doing this.. for my own good??
i would Never agree to this... even if they told me before hand!
it will be the last BMW i ever purchase. and would tell all my friends to never spend $$ on BMW!!

yes.. seem unusable .. is NOT and exaggeration.

i have several friends .. whom are iphone lovers.
many of them experience.. this with old phones that update to new IOS.
they show me the issues.. complain.. and go out and get the newest iphone.
and fall deep in love again.. till it gets about 2 yrs old....
rinse and repeat!
