I have just purchased a 2010 BMW M6.. It is set up for apple Iphone interface on the USB .....The USB will not charge a phone... I think it is set up for an Iphone 4.... Is there a way or an app that will allow my Moto Z play to pose as an Iphone 4...
 
This is very much hardware, so an app alone isn't going to fix it. You'll probably have to go to a BMW dealership or competent auto-electrician, and see about getting the system modernised and less "Made for iPhone".
