Apple Protection Removal

Ih8apple

Newbie
So I finally got a smartphone (Motorola Droid Razr M) and I love it!!

One problem...

I have a bunch of music I bought through Itunes. It is protected, and can't play on my phone.

Anybody got a way to easily, and cheaply, remove the protection? I really don't want to spend a whole day and $50 worth of blank CDs doing it that way.

I think you can get a converter, though this is arguably against the license agreement. I'm not sure and I've not read into it too in depth.

Edit: See this guide here, looks like there's built in features to do what you're wanting;

How to Convert Purchased iTunes Music into Unprotected MP3s

No, you have to burn them to CD's to do it. I have bought quite a bit of music from those apple roostersuckers over the years, so it will cost me a little money and a buttload of time to do that for all of them.

I wrote apple customer service. Sanjay or whoever told me that I could go upgrade to "Itunes Plus" versions for 30 cents a song, which comes to about $200 for everything I've bought from them.

I told him that I would NEVER buy another product or service from apple again. He said he was sorry I felt that way.

I hate those guys. How dare they charge me AGAIN to use something I already bought? I could care less about breaking the license agreement.

So can anyone recommend a converter? Cheap is good, free is better.

Please don't say that you don't care about an agreement that you made in an equitable deal (iTunes purchase). It's bad for your Karma and makes my left eye twitch.

Here is the relevant parts of the Apple/iTunes license agreement:

You can read the whole thing here.
