Kind of odd for us to be reporting on an iPhone update, no? Well, that's because this particular update could have key implications for those who foresee themselves leaving the bitten fruit platform for the land of the robots.

Well, that one has been known, and know to Apple, for a long time. So are they fixing it now because of a class action, or because that has got press attention?

(If I were really cynical I'd say that now it has wider publicity the non-techie user is likely to blame Apple rather than other platforms and so it's no longer in their interest to leave it unfixed.)
